Shannon Gaffney, DO, attended NYT College of Osteopathic Medicine and received her doctor of osteopathy degree in 2006. Then, she served her internship at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. Furthermore, she conducted her diagnostic radiology residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, TX. In addition, Dr. Gaffney completed her fellowship training in breast imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She received board certification in diagnostic radiology from the American Board of Radiology. She remains at the forefront of her challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations. As a result, he is a member of the American College of Radiology. In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Magna Cum Laude BS degree in Biochemistry acquired at Manhattan College in 2002. In 2014, she was named Radiologist of the Year. She feels that her success is attributable primarily to her passion for people, drive to make a difference, and understanding of patients’ needs and concerns.
